Verso One privacy policy
Version of October 30, 2026. Replaces the version of October 28, 2026.
What changed in this version
- Accounts are added. An account only exists if you buy, try Pro, use an access code or join your company's team. Free use still needs no account.
- Teams: when a company buys seats, the person who manages the team sees the email of each person who joined and since when. You are told this before you accept the invitation.
- Payments are now made through Paddle, our reseller.
In short
- Your files stay on your computer. Verso One opens, shows and edits everything locally. The content of your files never reaches us.
- You use it for free with no account. An account only exists in the cases above.
- Verso One does not collect usage data. There is no usage counter. If that changes, you are told beforehand, with a switch to turn it off on the same screen.
- A few things do leave the computer. On their own, only the check for updates (you can turn it off), the license check (if you have an account) and, on Linux, the download of the audio and video converter when it is missing from the computer. Everything else happens only when you ask: the error diagnostic, for example, is sent only when you click.
- We do not sell data, we have no advertising and we do not profile anyone.

On sales, Paddle is the seller and looks after payment data under its own privacy policy.

When you contact us by email, we keep the conversation for as long as it is useful to help you, 24 months at most.
What never leaves your computer
- The content of your files.
- What you type in the editors.
- Automatic backup copies: while you are editing and have not saved yet, Verso One keeps copies only on your computer, erased when you save, discard or after 14 days (400 MB at most). They are for recovering your work if the program closes by accident.
Things that do not go through us
- Phone: if you connect your phone to your computer, it talks directly to the computer, over your network. Nothing goes through the Verso One server.
- An AI you already use: if you connect Verso One to an AI of your own (for example, through the MCP protocol), you are the one talking to it. What that AI reads follows the terms of its own service.
Diagnostics
- Nothing is sent without your click. Before that, Verso One shows you the whole report in "See technical details".
- What it is for: finding and fixing errors. Reports of the same error are grouped, so we know what to fix first.
- Alert to Pedro: when a new kind of error appears, the server alerts Pedro through a notification service that runs on the Verso One server itself, with the kind of error and the start of the message.
- What stays out of the report: the network address is only used to limit abuse (30 submissions per hour at most) and is not stored with the report.
Updates
Verso One only installs updates signed by us, and you choose when to download and when to restart. No usage data is sent in this check, only the request for the file and your IP (see the table).
Your rights
You can ask, at any time and at no cost (LGPD art. 18 and §5):
- to know whether we hold any data of yours and to receive a copy;
- to correct anything that is wrong;
- to delete data, anonymize it or block what is unnecessary;
- to receive your data in a format that another service can read (portability);
- to know who we share it with;
- to withdraw a consent (such as the one for diagnostics).
How to ask: by email at contato@efficier.com or in the app, the ··· menu › Report a problem. We reply within 15 days (art. 19, II). If we need to confirm that you own the account, we send a code to its email.
About what has no name: diagnostics do not carry your name. To find a diagnostic, tell us the date, the version and the error.
What stays even after deletion: sales records for as long as tax law requires, and the minimum needed to prove what happened in a case of fraud, for as long as that case lasts (art. 16, I).
If you think we did not solve it, you can complain to the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD, Brazil's data protection authority), at gov.br/anpd.

We only change services after updating this list.
Children and teenagers
- Verso One can be used by anyone, with no account and without asking for age.
- We do not profile anyone for advertising, least of all children or teenagers.
- Accounts and purchases are for people over 18. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to make the purchase.
- If we learn that we hold a child's data without the guardian's permission, we delete it.
Security
- Your files do not leave the computer, and the app only accepts updates signed by us.
- On the server, the email in a code request, the IP used to limit abuse and the sign-in code are stored only in transformed form (with a secret key), never in the clear. The IP used for the abuse limit is kept for 2 days. The technical logs of the account's web server keep the IP for up to 30 days.
- If an incident happens that could put you at risk, we tell you and the ANPD within the deadline set by the ANPD rule (ANPD Resolution CD/ANPD 15/2024).
Changes to this policy
- A change that alters what leaves your computer or what it is used for appears beforehand, on the version's what's new screen, with what changed and how to refuse (art. 8, §6, and art. 9, §2).
- Earlier versions are kept and you can ask for a copy.
